巴里·格里本斯博士.D., has been president of L.A. Valley College since August 2019. Los Angeles Valley College is one of the largest of the nine campuses of the Los Angeles Community College 区 with more than 18,000 students in the eastern portion of the San Fernando Valley. It primarily serves the communities of Valley Glen, 凡奈, 北好莱坞, 峪村, 工作室的城市, 谢尔曼橡树, 恩西, 巴波亚湖, 城市全景, 和伯班克.

Prior to arriving at Los Angeles Valley College, Dr. Gribbons had 19 years of leadership experience at College of the Canyons, 包括 four years serving as Deputy Chancellor.

In addition to being Deputy Chancellor, he has held several administrative posts, 包括 Assistant Superintendent, 副总统, Executive Dean and Dean, overseeing technology, 研究, 规划, and public safety training.

1996年至1999年, he was Senior Researcher and Project Director at UCLA’s Center for the Study of Evaluation where his work coordinated large-scale education reforms to benefit underserved students. During this time, he was also a consultant to the U.S. Department of Education.

He has co-authored more than 520 研究 reports during the past 19 years and presented work at more than 50 national, statewide and regional conferences. He has taught at California State University, Los Angeles and College of the Canyons.

Dr. Gribbons received his Ph.D. 在教育, with specialization in measurements and statistics, and a Master’s degree in education, both from USC; a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, 北岭, and his associate’s degree in math and science from the College of the Canyons.
